BASF appoints new head for Construction Chemical business in Asia Pacific ​

Hong Kong – October 28, 2013 – BASF has appointed Christian Mombaur as Senior Vice President, Construction Chemicals, Asia Pacific, effective November 1, 2013. He succeeds Mark Volmer, who will leave the company.

Christian Mombaur holds a diploma in Business Administration, specializing in business information systems, and has played a key global role in defining the structure and directing the course for BASF's Construction Chemicals division. He joined BASF as a trainee in 1989. Between 1992 and 2011, he held various positions in BASF's Chemicals and Plastics divisions as well as in Credit Risk Management at BASF in Germany and Belgium. Immediately prior to assuming this new role, he led the Controlling, Systems & Processes team of the Construction Chemicals division of BASF in Germany since 2011.​
