Rock Bolt Grouting in Just 5 Minutes with MasterRoc RBA 380
“No more waiting for cementitious grout to cure. Now we can just drill, inject and mine!” – Jolyon Jardine, Mine Manager, Kanmantoo Copper Mine, SA.
Recently, at the Kanmantoo Copper Mine in South Australia, MasterRoc RBA 380, (our fast-reacting, instantly thickening anchoring resin) was successfully injected into a dozen, 9m self-drilling anchors (SDA).
Typically, cementitious grouts are used for deep embedment support systems such as cable bolts and Coupled SDAs. This generally has a longer re-entry time due to the subsequent curing rate, with most operations waiting up to 12 hours before advancing.
By choosing the MasterRoc RBA 380, contractors are now able to continue excavating safely almost instantly, as the injection resin reaches >35MPa in just 5 minutes.
