MasterEase 5200
High-range water-reducing admixture for precast concrete: superior rheology, reduced mixing time and improved consistence retention
The precast industry is constantly looking for ways to works more sustainably by improving resource efficiency and reducing waste. In meeting this challenge, concrete mix design has a huge part to play.
Achieving longer consistence retention with no compromise on concrete’s early strength development, while improving concrete rheology and 28-day strengths, is now a reality thanks to innovative admixture MasterEase 5200. Not only that, MasterEase 5200 enhances wet-out time, reducing the mixing time needed for full activation.
How does MasterEase 5200 work?
MasterEase 5200 uses a new, patented polymerisation process to deliver an extremely flowable, robust self-compacting concrete, with high water reduction and reduced batching cycle times, saving time, energy and money.
Where to use MasterEase 5200?
MasterEase 5200 is ideal for use in manufacturing durable precast concrete elements that meet EN 206-1. Its use facilitates highly-fluid concrete without segregation but with low water/cement ratios that achieve high early and final strengths. MasterEase 5200 has been formulated for use with the Master X-Seed 100 Crystal Speed Hardening concept.
What makes MasterEase 5200 different?
Using MasterEase 5200 results in the combined advantages of a low water/cement ratio with optimal rheology and optimised batching times.
- Enhanced robustness and consistency retention with low stickiness.
- Environmentally friendly, CO2-reduced mix design
- Improved surface appearance
- Elimination or reduction of energy for placing, compaction and curing (heat curing can be reduced or avoided)
- Increased productivity, especially when used with Master X-Seed 100
- Self-compacting concrete (SCC) with low fines content
