Getting cement-based mixes right is a balancing act. Adding extra water to cementitious mortars increase workability – but it also increases the hardened mortar’s shrinkage and porosity. The result of higher porosity is reduced waterproofing capacities and mechanical strengths, while greater shrinkage creates cracks. MasterSeal 600 answers this challenge, providing the best solution for improving cementitious mortars’ adhesion and workability without adding more water.

Use MasterSeal 600 in cement-based mixes and other highly alkaline building materials to improve their adhesion, workability and durability. It can also be used as gauging liquid for MasterSeal 581 waterproofing membranes.

MasterSeal 600 improves the workability of cement mixes, aiding ease of application. It reduces shrinkage and improves cement mixes' physical characteristics, providing improved resistance to wear and weathering. MasterSeal 600 also addresses the risk of cracking in mortars, especially those applied in a thin layer without modification by other polymers.

 

MasterSeal 600 is unaffected by ultraviolet light or contact with water and improves mixes' durability under all conditions.

MasterSeal 600 is mixed with water in a ratio of one part admixture for every two to three parts water. When used as an admixture with MasterSeal 581, three parts of water are mixed with one part of MasterSeal 600.

MasterSeal 600 is a milky-white liquid which is slightly more viscose than water. It contains a formulation of acrylic polymers and modifiers.
