BASF launches two new MasterSeal® products in Australia

    • MasterSeal® CR 435 – a high-performance, chemical-resistant joint sealant for use in harsh environments
    • MasterSeal® NP 430 – a general purpose sealant with Modified Silicone (MS) technology

    MasterSeal CR 435

Sydney, Australia – August 31, 2016 – BASF has launched two new sealant products in Australia from its MasterSeal® range, which includes waterproofing products, deck membranes and sealants, formulated to stop water leakages and moisture ingression in new and existing structures.

"Wherever two surfaces are joined together, the integrity of a structure is only as good as the sealants used. Formulated with high-performance elastomers, our MasterSeal joint sealants ensure outstanding weatherproofing and protection against the most aggressive conditions," explains Colin Peterson, Market Manager Construction Systems at BASF Australia and New Zealand.

MasterSeal CR 435 is a two-component, chemically curing, hybrid polyurea sealant, recommended for active, exterior and interior joints placed in harsh environments. The sealant’s high chemical resistance, puncture and abrasion resistance, moisture insensitivity during curing and UV-resistance make it extremely durable and ideal for heavy traffic areas.

MasterSeal NP 430 is a one-component, moisture curing, highly elastic, modified silicone joint sealant. It is recommended for active, exterior and interior joints that demand extreme UV-resistance and long-term colour integrity. Its modified silicone technology ensures high elasticity and movement capability, as well as adherence to a wide range of surfaces, including concrete, metal, timber, cement, brick and plaster.

"These new sealants demonstrate BASF’s ongoing commitment to delivering the best solutions to our customers in the field through the Master Builders Solutions range," Mr Peterson said.

"We leverage global BASF technologies, as well as our in-depth knowledge of local building needs, to develop innovations that help make our customers more successful."
