Mumbai, India – April 17, 2015 – The Indian construction industry can now enjoy faster placement of everyday concrete structures, and more reliable waterproofing systems, with the launch of a range of products from Master Builder Solutions.
Overall construction pace is accelerating in India. New construction methods including modular formwork construction for concreting, dry wall for partitions and prefabricated bathroom pods are gaining traction, but also create challenges in maintaining quality while meeting the demand for rapid construction. MasterSeal® and MasterTileTM waterproofing solutions for wet areas and bathrooms
Rapid, high-quality concrete installation
Equipped with BASF’s formulation excellence, MasterPolyheedTM 8900, a new innovative admixture, improves concrete rheology (i.e. “feel” of the fresh concrete), meaning less effort is needed in concrete placement. It helps the ready-mix, site-mix and precast manufacturers to produce and place higher quality concrete more effectively and efficiently. Using MasterPolyheedTM 8900 in everyday concreting not only ensures concrete performance but also alleviates the challenges in raw material inconsistencies as it works efficiently for M20 – M40 grades of concrete.
New solutions to overcome waterproofing challenges
To optimize waterproofing performance in wet areas’ construction, BASF is introducing a holistic system from its Master Builders Solutions range consisting of MasterSeal® waterproofing and MasterTileTM tiling systems. These new solutions cater to the challenging conditions during and post-construction of wet areas and provide watertight lining for wet areas such as bathrooms and shower areas.
