BASF opens Regional Office in Novosibirsk

  • Reinforcing the idea of localization and expanded presence in regions

BASF, a leading global producer of construction chemicals, has opened a new regional office. This event represents the next step in the strategy of expanding its presence in Siberian, Ural and Far Eastern Federal districts.

"Siberia has a developed dealer network, and our office and employees in the region will help us in better understanding customer needs, quickly respond to requests, and provide specific solutions for problems of our construction customers", commented Sergey Vetlov, Managing Director of BASF Construction Systems. "Thanks to this move, we take another strategical step in expanding our presence in Russia".

The regional office is formed of specialists offering comprehensive solutions and technologies for construction, repair and restoration of buildings and structures as well as on-site technical support. Master Builders Solutions' customer focused approach includes preliminary on-site expert inspections, recipes offering based on specifics of materials (if necessary) and training.

BASF has already supplied innovative solutions to projects in this region, including large the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydropower Plant, the Bratsk Cellulose Plant, and entertainment facilities such as Aquamir Water Park with tile setting systems that accelerated facility commissioning by six months. The high business potential of Novosibirsk is also confirmed by the large number of ongoing infrastructure projects, including the new subway stations, the fourth bridge over the Ob River, and the ice arena, which may host World Junior Hockey Championship.

"We are already supplying solutions to many large local customers in Siberia and we are looking forward to playing a role in the accelerated development of the region." added Sergey Vetlov.

Considering its long experience and scientific base, BASF is ready to participate even in the most complex projects. BASF's solutions are successfully used in important objects such as the Western High Speed Diameter in St. Petersburg and the Golden Bridge in Vladivostok. The company was also involved in construction of world-class sports facilities in Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Sochi, and other cities.

Master Builders Solutions division has a manufacturing facility in the Moscow region and production sites in Kazan and St. Petersburg. The opening of the office in Novosibirsk will help BASF to have a real understanding of the Siberian region potential and to analyze how to optimize logistics and significantly reduce overhead and transportation costs.
