    BASF helps renovating charity school

As part of Tarmeem initiative from UAE Government and Omniyat, BASF will support in the renovation of a Charity School in Ajman

As part of its ongoing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) efforts, BASF has joined the Tarmeem initiative (ترميم ) by the Dubai Department of Economic Development together with Omniyat (a Dubai-based property developer and valued customer). In line with the UAE government's 'Year of Giving', charity schools in the country will be renovated. The first school, Manar al Iman in Ajman, educates low income students including 500 orphans and over 1500 young refugees from Syria and Yemen.

The school is in a poor condition, and 19 private sector entities, including our company, will help renovate it to guarantee a nicer and safer environment for the little children, students and staff. The first renovation phase will take place from March 24 until April 8.

BASF's support will consist of installing an epoxy terrazzo floor in the school reception, applying a decorative floor coating to the front courtyard and also a colorful, weather-resistant floor coating in the play areas. BASF will also repair critical areas with key materials and provide tiling solutions for the washroom. At the crèche, there will be a contribution with the floor upgrades. Other companies will replace doors and windows, paint, supply furniture and games… Besides the material supply, BASF's experts will carry out the installation, also with the help of some approved applicators, and colleagues will volunteer to make the project a success.
