Master Builders Solutions Vietnam Team Self-voluntary Isolation in The Binh Duong Plant During Lockdown

As the COVID-19 situation intensifies in Vietnam, many manufacturing organizations face significant challenges when factories were advised to close or stop production to prevent the further spread of the virus in the community as part of a month-long lockdown. This undoubtedly affects all businesses and the question on everyone's minds was: how can we continue to remain operational during this lockdown?

When this question was raised at the Master Builders Solutions Vietnam's factory in Binh Duong, 18 production staff volunteered to work and live at the factory during the lockdown period on July 12th, 2021. While this ensured that production continued as per usual, the team made valiant sacrifices to be away from their family members while being on factory grounds for a month's duration. Additionally, volunteers underwent PCR testing and had to be tested negative for COVID-19 before participating in this initiative whilst complying with the safety requirements set by the local government and our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team; such as practicing social distancing, wearing masks, regularly measuring their temperature and taking the rapid PCR test once a week.

The management team of Master Builders Solutions Vietnam is extremely appreciative of this team of volunteers who were willing to go above and beyond in their duties while putting the health and safety of others as a top priority. The company ensured that each employee had sufficient daily essentials and amenities to make their stay and work comfortable, from toiletries to basic medication and bedding.  “This voluntary effort by our team aligns with our core values, Make the Impossible Possible, and People Make the Difference. Not only does it show our team's focus to find solutions to challenges, but it also demonstrates how we help each other as a team to achieve our goals. I am confident that this tremendous effort and team spirit will help us persevere and overcome this storm." said Thierry Balard, Managing Director of Master Builders Solutions Vietnam.

Besides the day-to-day operations at the plant, the team of volunteers also engaged in activities such as badminton matches and movie nights to take care of their physical and mental health, and well-being, creating a comfortable environment for their work-family.
