Design of composite tunnel linings workshop is successfully held by ARUP and BASF

The Design of composite tunnel linings workshop was successfully held at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, Shatin on 7th September 2017, and the event was jointly organised by ARUP and BASF. A high number of participants attended this event, including local government officials, concrete producers and consultants. ARUP and BASF have cooperated extensively on testing and modeling the composite behaviour between concrete and spray applied waterproofing membrane MasterSeal 345. At the workshop, our invited speakers discussed about the composite lining research and the comprehensive technical information gathered which allow designers to quantify the lining thickness and reduction potential. In-depth details were shared in the workshop.

Attendance had the opportunity to look at the MasterSeal 345 performance at the demonstration site.
