MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series - Engineered Waterproofing System for Bridge Deck Slabs
What is the MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series?
The MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series is a polyurethane-based waterproofing system for bridge deck slabs and highway roads. As a multi-layered system, the MasterSeal Bridge 5000 series is intended for use on highway roads and bridge deck waterproofing for both new and refurbishment projects.
Benefits of the MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series
As a four-layer hybrid waterproofing system, the benefits of the MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series include:
- Environmentally friendly - Green label for waterproofing membrane
- Fast setting deck system - Suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications
- Improved shear resistance with deck slabs - Reduced slippage destroy at the interface of the waterproofing system and deck slab
- Excellent adhesion with asphalt pavement laid at high temperatures (180°C) and low temperatures (110°C)
- Deck slab protection - Prevents water penetration which protects deck slabs from crack and peel off by hybrid waterproofing structure set-up
- Improvement in life cycle cost - Pavement is repairable without removing the waterproofing layer
System build up of MasterSeal Bridge 5000 Series
MasterSeal Bridge 5000 and
MasterSeal Bridge 5000N are a multi-layered system that is composed of:
MasterSeal Bridge 5000 system build up
Layer 1 Primer: MasterSeal P 627 or MasterSeal P 2525 Two-component, solvent-free, fast setting epoxy primer Layer 2 Membrane: MasterSeal M 800 Two-component, solvent-free, highly reactive waterproofing membrane that can only be applied by special two component spray equipment Layer 3 Adhesion Promoter: MasterSeal P 628 A two-component polyurethane-based adhesion promoter that improves the adhesion between the waterproofing membrane and the tack coat, MasterSeal P 629 Layer 4 Tack Coat: MasterSeal P 629 A one-component tack coat based on specially formulated polymer modified asphalt for use with hot asphalt toppings to improve their adhesion to the polyurethane based bridge deck waterproofing system
